It is the name of a plant, which is also known as ilañilán, cananga, cananga flower. Its scientific name is Cananga odorata and belongs to the family Annonaceae. The word as such is tagalo language and means rare or asy dressed, in reference to the perfume it emits. It is widely used in perfumery.
